Duncan Curtis vs Arnie Petrie

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Valdez Hall, Fresno,  taking place on 21/12/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Duncan Curtis (1 - 0) who hails from Fremont, USA and Arnie Petrie(1 - 0) from Warren, USA.  Curtis weighed in at 243 pounds And 15 ounces, while Petrie weighed in at 254 pounds And 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Sam Hasson, and the three ringside judges are Mark Pizarro, Mike Amores and Bruce Carra.  

Round 1: 

Curtis closes the distance and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Petrie closes the distance.  Curtis sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Curtis lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.

Curtis leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Petrie steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  Petrie connects with a left hook.

Curtis steps away from his opponent and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Petrie is looking to close the distance.  Curtis lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Curtis strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Curtis steps inside and lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Petrie closes the distance.  Petrie sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Curtis lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Curtis lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Curtis closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Petrie advances into close range.  Curtis is on target with a right hook.  
Curtis digs in a right hook to Petrie's ribs.  
Curtis lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Curtis dabs at his face checking for damage.  Curtis has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Curtis is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.

Petrie attempts to land a cross, but Curtis slips the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Curtis is looking to close the distance.  Petrie throws a right uppercut, but Curtis ties up his opponent.  Curtis uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Petrie behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
