Hideki Sakai vs Nori Doi

Boxing Daily Report from the Nishimiya Promotions promoted show at Nishimiya Gym, Ichinomiya,  taking place on 04/12/2028:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Hideki Sakai (5 - 0) who hails from Yokohama, Japan and Nori Doi(6 - 12 - 2) from Sendai, Japan.  Both Sakai and Doi weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kenji Shimoda, and the three ringside judges are Mikio Yasuda, Mitsuru Yoshikawa and Mikio Chino.  

Round 1: 

Sakai steps inside.  Sakai is on target with a right uppercut.  Doi wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Sakai dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Sakai advances into close range and is on target with a right hook to Doi's body.  Sakai clinches his opponent.  Sakai uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Doi behind the head. 
Sakai digs in a left hook to Doi's liver.  
Doi throws a left hook, but Sakai holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Sakai pushes his forearm into Doi's face.  The referee warns Sakai and breaks the clinch.  
Sakai drives a left hook into Doi's ribs.  Sakai ties up his opponent.  Sakai leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Sakai attempts to land a right hook, but Doi sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Doi closes the distance.  Sakai sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Sakai lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Sakai forces Doi to back into the blue corner.  Sakai lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  Sakai clinches his opponent.  Doi pushes his forearm into Sakai's face.  The referee warns Doi and breaks the clinch.  
Sakai gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Sakai lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  Sakai ties up his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Sakai lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Sakai connects with a firm cross.  
Sakai advances into close range and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Doi's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Doi's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Doi's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Doi's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
