Kai Maddex vs Javier Baudelaire

Boxing Daily Report from the Kurusu Promotions promoted show at Lancashire CCC, Manchester,  taking place on 12/01/2029:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are The Throne-Breaker Kai Maddex (17 - 0) who hails from Leicester, UK and Javier Baudelaire(10 - 6 - 8) from Nice, France.  Both Maddex and Baudelaire weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Wayne Latham, and the three ringside judges are Max Smith, Robert Wathen and Mike Burchardt.  

Round 1: 

Maddex closes the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.

Maddex is looking to close the distance.  Maddex sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a left uppercut.  As Maddex tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Baudelaire dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Baudelaire.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
