Rob Thaw vs Mel Clyde

Boxing Daily Report from the RJS Promotions promoted show at Logan Campbell Centre, Auckland,  taking place on 20/01/2029:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Frozen Rob Thaw (8 - 1) who hails from Manukau, New Zealand and Mel Clyde(7 - 4 - 5) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  Both Thaw and Clyde weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Colin Lawder, and the three ringside judges are Lloyd Rease, Rob Horsburgh and Harvey Dorch.  

Round 1: 

Thaw forces Clyde to retreat onto the ropes.  Thaw hits home with a right hook.  
Clyde lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.

Thaw walks Clyde into the corner.  Thaw wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Clyde has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.

It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Thaw.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
