Matthew Morman vs Paul Skiver

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Canada-Manitoba promoted show at Lionel Beaubien Gym, Winnipeg,  taking place on 14/01/2029:

Clearly AI Canada-Manitoba have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Canada-Manitoba Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Matthew Morman (6 - 3 - 3) who hails from Winnipeg, Canada and Paul Skiver(9 - 5) from Winnipeg, Canada.  Morman weighed in at 199 pounds and 1 ounces, while Skiver weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Leon Thomson, and the three ringside judges are Amon Badders, Steven Yale and Dave Cloy.  

Round 1: 

Morman steps to the outside.  Morman sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Morman attempts to land a jab, but Skiver blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Morman is on target with a cross.  
Skiver closes the distance.  Skiver quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to Morman's body.  
Morman steps away from his opponent.  Morman sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Skiver attempts to land a right hook, but Morman parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Skiver closes the distance.  Morman steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Skiver tries to tag Morman on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Morman's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Skiver's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Skiver's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Skiver pivots to the side of his opponent.  Morman lands a right hook.  Morman wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Skiver.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.

Skiver steps inside.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Skiver dabs at his face checking for damage.
