Augusto Tomasso vs Gianni Viani

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Italy-Sicily promoted show at Palermo Bandinelli, Palermo,  taking place on 22/01/2029:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Italy-Sicily Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Augusto Tomasso (21(2) - 2 - 2) who hails from Palermo, Italy and Gianni Viani(8 - 8 - 6) from Palermo, Italy.  Both Tomasso and Viani weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Giorgio Lamberti, and the three ringside judges are Leonardo Bartolini, Nico Scagni and Roberto Riva.  

Round 1: 

Tomasso steps inside and drives a sharp left hook into his opponents body.  
Tomasso lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Viani steps to the outside and is on target with a cross.  
Viani attempts to land an overhand left, but Tomasso slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Tomasso is on target with a firm left hook.  
Tomasso closes the distance and drives a solid left hook into his opponents body.  
Viani quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Tomasso lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Tomasso closes the distance and digs in a firm right uppercut to Viani's ribcage.  Tomasso holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Tomasso pushes his forearm into Viani's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Tomasso.  
Tomasso connects with a left hook.  
Tomasso lands a right hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Tomasso gets on the inside and connects with a solid left hook.  
Tomasso lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Tomasso clinches his opponent.  Tomasso leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Tomasso hits home with a right uppercut.  
Tomasso lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Tomasso holds on to his opponent.  Tomasso throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Tomasso.  
Viani steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Tomasso steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  Tomasso lands a right uppercut to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Tomasso quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a solid left uppercut.  
Tomasso gets on the inside.  Viani lands a right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Viani's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Tomasso closes the distance and is on target with a right uppercut to Viani's body.  Tomasso clinches his opponent.  Tomasso leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  Tomasso tries to land a right hook, but Viani blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Viani throws a right hook, but Tomasso clinches his opponent.  Tomasso leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Tomasso throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Tomasso quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a left hook into Viani's ribs.  As Viani tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Tomasso dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Viani tries to land a right hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Tomasso lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Tomasso is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Tomasso closes the distance and drives a firm right uppercut into Viani's ribs.  
Tomasso lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Tomasso lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Viani throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Tomasso hits home with a left hook.  Tomasso clinches his opponent.  Viani is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Tomasso feints a cross, but Viani does not fall for it and lands with a right hook.  
Tomasso quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a MASSIVE cross.  VIANI IS HURT!  
Tomasso stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Tomasso lands a left hook to the head, a cross to the head and a right hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands two right uppercuts followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Viani now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Tomasso pivots to the left of his opponent and connects with a left uppercut.  
Tomasso lands a left hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Tomasso lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Tomasso connects with a HUGE cross.  VIANI IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  HE MAKES IT TO ONE KNEE, BUT IS UNABLE TO RISE ANY FURTHER AS THE REF COUNTS 10!  The winner by KO is Tomasso!
