Haaris Awan vs Hassan Nassif

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Malaysia-Perak promoted show at Ipoh Saba, Ipoh,  taking place on 25/01/2029:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Malaysia-Perak Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV3, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Haaris Awan (18(8) - 0) who hails from Ipoh, Malaysia and Hassan Nassif(15 - 6(1) - 1) from Ipoh, Malaysia.  Awan weighed in at 121 pounds and 7 ounces, while Nassif weighed in at 121 pounds and 1 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Khalid Rahaim, and the three ringside judges are Zuffur Sylla, Haider Din and Jawad Shah.  

Round 1:

Awan is looking to keep his distance.  Awan stands off with low guard waiting for his opponent to launch an attack.  Nassif throws an overhand left, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Awan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He then lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Nassif tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Awan gets on the inside.  Nassif throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Awan holds on to his opponent.  Awan pushes his forearm into Nassif's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Awan to stop fouling.

Nassif is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Awan lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.
