Olufemi Onyemachi vs Aaron Ekpe

Boxing Daily Report from the Adusei Promotions promoted show at Maiduguri Odia, Maiduguri,  taking place on 08/02/2029:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the Nigeria-Borno State Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Olufemi Onyemachi (20(5) - 0 - 2) who hails from Maiduguri, Nigeria and Aaron Ekpe(12 - 5(1) - 1) from Maiduguri, Nigeria.  Onyemachi weighed in at 160 pounds, while Ekpe weighed in at 159 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Efe Ajumogobia, and the three ringside judges are John Bandele, Thompson Adejobi and Lordson Isola.  

Round 1: 

Onyemachi lands a cross.  
Onyemachi steps inside and digs in a solid right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Onyemachi is on target with a stinging right hook.  Onyemachi ties up his opponent.  Onyemachi uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Ekpe's kidney. The referee warns Onyemachi and breaks the clinch.  
Onyemachi manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Ekpe throws a left hook, but Onyemachi holds on to his opponent.  Onyemachi is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Onyemachi gets on the inside and lands a left hook, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Ekpe attempts to land a left hook, but Onyemachi dodges the shot and counters with a solid right hook.  
Onyemachi manouvers Ekpe onto the ropes.  Onyemachi drives a sharp left hook into Ekpe's body.  Onyemachi clinches his opponent.  Onyemachi tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Ekpe behind the head. Onyemachi leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Onyemachi's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Onyemachi drives a right hook into Ekpe's body.  
Ekpe pivots to the right of his opponent.  Onyemachi drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Ekpe switches the action to the outside.  Onyemachi is on target with a cross.  
Onyemachi lands a stinging cross.  
Onyemachi steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Ekpe sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Onyemachi lands a right hook to the body followed by a jab to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Ekpe recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Ekpe tries to step out of his opponents range.  Onyemachi lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Onyemachi is on target with a stinging cross.  
Onyemachi gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Onyemachi slams a mean left hook into his opponents body.  EKPE IS HURT!  
Onyemachi thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Ekpe away.  Onyemachi lands a left uppercut, left hook and a right uppercut to his opponents body.  He then lands three consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Onyemachi walks his opponent into a corner.  Onyemachi lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body, AND SENDS EKPE SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Onyemachi lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He then lands a right hook, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Onyemachi drives a weighty left uppercut into Ekpe's ribs.  It looks like Ekpe has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Onyemachi quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a right hook to Ekpe's body.  
Onyemachi pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a sharp cross.  
Onyemachi closes the distance.  Ekpe throws a left hook, but Onyemachi ties up his opponent.  Onyemachi pushes his forearm into Ekpe's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ekpe's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Ekpe's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Ekpe's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Ekpe's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Onyemachi quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Onyemachi throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Onyemachi clinches his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
