Kenzie Christopher vs Ian Merricks

Boxing Daily Report from the Agyemang Promotions promoted show at Kristofor Nikšić Gym, Raleigh,  taking place on 02/01/2029:

Clearly Agyemang Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-North Carolina Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Kenzie Christopher (2 - 13) who hails from Greensboro, USA and Ian Merricks(4 - 11 - 3) from Charlotte, USA.  Both Christopher and Merricks weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Richard Davies, and the three ringside judges are Dan Creelman, Oliver Racine and Paul Gath.  

Round 1: 

Merricks lands a left uppercut.  
Merricks tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Christopher contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Merricks attempts to land a cross, but Christopher sidesteps and counters with a cross.

Christopher steps to the outside.  Merricks quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Christopher's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Christopher lands a cross.  
Merricks gets on the inside and is on target with a left hook.  
Christopher tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Christopher lands a cross.  
Merricks closes the distance.  Christopher wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Merricks dabs at his face checking for damage.  Merricks has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Merricks dabs at his face checking for damage.  Merricks has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
