Dakarai Gicheru vs Paul Ndungu

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Kiambu promoted show at Kikuyu Gachu, Kikuyu,  taking place on 05/01/2029:

Clearly AI Kenya-Kiambu have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Kenya-Kiambu Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dakarai Gicheru (14 - 7 - 1) who hails from Ruiru, Kenya and Paul Ndungu(6(2) - 0) from Ruiru, Kenya.  Gicheru weighed in at 129 pounds and 6 ounces, while Ndungu weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jake Merande, and the three ringside judges are Haider Ben, Sam Ngugi and Haider Ben.  

Round 1: 

Ndungu is looking to close the distance and is on target with a firm left hook to Gicheru's ribs.  Ndungu clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Ndungu pushes his forearm into Gicheru's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Ndungu.

Gicheru gets on the inside.  Ndungu pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Ndungu crashes a mean left hook to his opponents body.  GICHERU IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  Ndungu holds on to his opponent.  Ndungu is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Ndungu advances into close range.  Ndungu quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  As Ndungu tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Gicheru dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Ndungu pivots from in front of his opponent and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.
