Darragh MacKay vs Lorcan Coughlin

Boxing Daily Report from the Mzima Promotions promoted show at Dublin Malone, Dublin,  taking place on 16/02/2029:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Irish-Leinster Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Darragh MacKay (14(6) - 0) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Lorcan Coughlin(12 - 12(1) - 5) from Dun Laoghaire, Ireland.  Both MacKay and Coughlin weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mike Green, and the three ringside judges are Joshua MacCarthy, Gareth Byrne and Will Nolan.  

Round 1: 

MacKay steps to the outside and lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
MacKay lands with a solid jab.  
MacKay feints a jab, and then hits home with an overhand right.  
MacKay lands a stinging overhand right.  
MacKay lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
MacKay lands two consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head.  
MacKay lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Coughlin almost instantly gets his legs back. 
MacKay tries to keep the action at long range and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
MacKay connects with a firm overhand right.  
MacKay lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
MacKay switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
MacKay is on target with a hard jab.  
Coughlin walks MacKay onto the ropes.  MacKay connects with a solid cross.  MacKay tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
MacKay steps to the outside and lands a cross, overhand right and a jab to his opponents head.  
MacKay lands a jab, overhand right and an overhand left to his opponents head.  
MacKay steps away from his opponent.  MacKay feints a right hook, and then lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
MacKay steps to the outside and lands a ramrod jab.  
MacKay lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
MacKay lands a jab, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head.  
MacKay lands an overhand right, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
MacKay tries to step out of his opponents range.  MacKay drops his guard, and stalks his opponent...he wants his opponent to throw a shot.  Coughlin tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
MacKay finds the target with a solid jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Coughlin's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Coughlin's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

MacKay is looking to keep his distance and lands an overhand right to the head, a cross to the head and a cross to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Coughlin quickly recovers. 
MacKay hits home with a hard jab.  
MacKay feints a cross, tricking Coughlin into countering with a left hook.  MacKay is waiting for the shot and counters with a cross.  
MacKay tries to step out of his opponents range.  MacKay sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands an overhand right, jab and an overhand right to his opponents head.  
MacKay lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
MacKay lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
MacKay lands a spiteful jab.  
MacKay hits home with a cross.  
MacKay lands a straight 1 - 2, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
MacKay is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  MacKay is on target with a mean right hook.  COUGHLIN IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 7.

The winner by KO is MacKay!
