Luis Licea vs Alejandro Ibabao

Boxing Daily Report from the Luc promoted show at Santa Maria Mate, Santa Maria,  taking place on 26/02/2029:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Philippines-Bulacan Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Luis Licea (16(2) - 3(1)) who hails from Santa Maria, Philippines and Alejandro Ibabao(17 - 7 - 1) from San Jose del Monte, Philippines.  Licea weighed in at 108 pounds, while Ibabao weighed in at 107 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Berto Layumas, and the three ringside judges are Xavier Maniquis, Berto Layumas and Alejandro Unabia.  

Round 1: 

Licea is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the head.  
Licea feints a left hook, and then tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Licea closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body followed by two left hook's to the head.  
Licea advances into close range.  Ibabao throws a right uppercut, but Licea ties up his opponent.  Licea leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Licea contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Ibabao attempts to land a cross, but Licea slips the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Licea steps inside and digs in a left hook to Ibabao's liver.  
Licea is looking to close the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Licea holds on to his opponent.  Licea is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Licea about fouling.  
Licea lands a cross to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Licea connects with a solid right uppercut.  
Licea advances into close range.  Licea pivots to the side of his opponent.  Licea whips in a nasty right hook to his opponents body.  IBABAO IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS! Licea walks Ibabao down, trapping him on the ropes.  Some sustained pressure from Licea could be enough to finish Ibabao!  Licea lands a right hook, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  He then lands a right uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  
Licea lands a right uppercut, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND SENDS IBABAO TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Ibabao now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Ibabao finds the target with a jab.  
Licea gets on the inside and hits home with a right uppercut.  Licea throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Ibabao sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Licea is on target with a cross.  
Ibabao is looking to keep his distance.  Licea finds the target with a stinging jab.  
Ibabao steps away from his opponent.  Licea lands two straights followed by an overhand left to his opponents head.  
Licea advances into close range and lands a left hook to the head followed by two right hook's to the body.  Licea tries to land a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Ibabao is looking to keep his distance and lands an overhand right.

Licea lands a left uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body, AND SENDS IBABAO SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  Ibabao recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Licea gets on the inside and hits home with a left hook.  
Licea sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Ibabao connects with a left uppercut.  
Licea lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Licea ties up his opponent.  Licea leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Ibabao pushes his forearm into Licea's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Ibabao about fouling.
