Leighton Whittingham vs Cody Gregor

Boxing Daily Report from the Sijabala Promotions promoted show at Von Braun Center Playhouse, Huntsville,  taking place on 05/03/2029:

Clearly Sijabala Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Leighton Whittingham (3 - 0) who hails from Davenport, USA and Cody Gregor(1 - 4(1)) from Fremont, USA.  Whittingham weighed in at 139 pounds and 14 ounces, while Gregor weighed in at 139 pounds and 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Bilal Elbaz, and the three ringside judges are Sam MacKenna, John Malpass and Tobias Gowans.  

Round 1: 

Gregor tries to land a cross, but Whittingham sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut to Gregor's body.

Whittingham steps inside.  Whittingham sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Gregor goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Whittingham's complaints and signals for the action to continue.

Whittingham is on target with a sharp left hook.  
Whittingham quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Whittingham pivots to the left of his opponent.  As Gregor tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Whittingham.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.  
Gregor throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Whittingham feints a jab, fooling Gregor into throwing a cross counter.  Whittingham is waiting for the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.
