Umi Quansah vs Spencer Govender

Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Africa-Gauteng promoted show at Randburg Adriaanse, Randburg,  taking place on 13/03/2029:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the South Africa Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Umi Quansah (8 - 15(1) - 3) who hails from Mamelodi, South Africa and Spencer Govender(12(3) - 2) from Pretoria, South Africa.  Both Quansah and Govender weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Quaddus Rascalimu, and the three ringside judges are Charel Cilliers, Quannell Poku and John Nzambi.  

Round 1: 

Govender gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Govender holds on to his opponent.  Govender pushes his forearm into Quansah's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Govender to stop fouling.  
Govender closes the distance and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  Govender ties up his opponent.  Govender leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.

Govender manouvers Quansah into a corner.  Govender lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Govender attempts to land a left hook, but Quansah blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Govender is on target with a left hook to Quansah's body.  
Govender sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to Quansah's body.  
Govender lands a sharp left hook.  
Quansah steps inside.  Govender lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Govender lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Govender dabs at his face checking for damage.  Govender has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
