Montana Jaimes vs Miguel Puentes

Boxing Daily Report from the Castro Cigars promoted show at Havana Cornejo, Havana,  taking place on 16/03/2029:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Cuba Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Montana Jaimes (18(13) - 4(4)) who hails from Camaguey, Cuba and Miguel Puentes(17 - 4(1)) from Havana, Cuba.  Both Jaimes and Puentes weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Desiderio Estacio, and the three ringside judges are Neper Quinonez, Francisco Amaya and Desiderio Villavicencio.  

Round 1: 

Puentes closes the distance and throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm cross.  
Jaimes tries to keep the action at long range and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Puentes steps inside.  Jaimes is on target with a firm left uppercut.

Puentes steps inside.  Jaimes hits home with a left hook.  Jaimes tries to land a right hook, but Puentes dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Jaimes's ribs.  
Jaimes is looking to keep his distance and throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Jaimes lands an overhand left, overhand right and a jab to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Puentes gets on the inside.  Jaimes senses Puentes is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Jaimes lands a right uppercut, right hook and a cross to his opponents head, AND PUENTES IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  Puentes now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Jaimes is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a hard jab.  
Puentes closes the distance.  Jaimes hits home with a sharp left hook.  
Jaimes lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Jaimes pivots from in front of his opponent and digs in a firm left hook to Puentes's liver.
