Cody Weddel vs Noel Fidler

Boxing Daily Report from the Spencer Clarke promoted show at Milton Keynes Guler, Milton Keynes,  taking place on 28/02/2029:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Cody Weddel (1 - 0) who hails from Swansea, UK and Noel Fidler(6 - 4 - 1) from Southampton, UK.  Weddel weighed in at 159 pounds And 3 ounces, while Fidler weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Colin McCoubrey, and the three ringside judges are Alec Malraux, Paul Hector and Ali Parsa.  

Round 1: 

Weddel steps inside and hits home with a right hook.

Weddel throws a right uppercut, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Weddel ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Fidler pushes his forearm into Weddel's face.  The ref breaks Weddel's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Weddel quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Weddel lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  Weddel clinches his opponent.  Weddel tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Fidler behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Weddel.

Weddel digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Weddel lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.

Fidler manouvers Weddel onto the ropes.  Weddel drives a right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Weddel steps inside and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.

Weddel connects with a left hook.  
Fidler throws a left uppercut, but Weddel clinches his opponent.  Fidler is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Weddel connects with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Fidler's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Fidler's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.
