Meril Demel vs Aurik Jurgensen

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Germany-Baden-Wurttemberg promoted show at Jarmann Johnsen Gym, Freiburg,  taking place on 18/03/2029:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Germany-Baden-Wurttemberg Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Meril Demel (17(6) - 1) who hails from Stuttgart, Germany and Aurik Jurgensen(13 - 6(1) - 5) from Karlsruhe, Germany.  Demel weighed in at 130 pounds, while Jurgensen weighed in at 129 pounds and 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Steiner Kalkbrenner, and the three ringside judges are Walt Clemens, Ritt Pfister and Arvin Angerhofer.  

Round 1: 

Demel advances into close range and is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Demel ties up his opponent.  Demel is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Demel.  
Demel hits home with a left hook.  
Demel pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Demel pivots to the right of his opponent.  Jurgensen throws a right uppercut, but Demel clinches his opponent.  Demel leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Demel's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Demel steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Jurgensen tries to land a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Demel gets on the inside and hits home with a right hook.  Demel clinches his opponent.  Demel leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Demel closes the distance and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Demel ties up his opponent.  Demel leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Demel steps away from his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Demel steps inside and throws a left uppercut, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Demel clinches his opponent.  Demel is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Demel lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.

Jurgensen pivots to the side of his opponent.  Jurgensen throws a right uppercut, but Demel holds on to his opponent.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Demel gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Demel is looking to close the distance and hits home with a right uppercut.

Jurgensen sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Demel connects with a firm cross.

Jurgensen throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Jurgensen's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Jurgensen's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Demel lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Demel clinches his opponent.  Demel leans on his opponent using all his weight. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Demel to stop holding.  
Jurgensen pivots to the left of his opponent.  Demel lands a stinging left hook.  
Demel lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Jurgensen throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Demel is looking to close the distance.  Demel lands a sharp left uppercut.  Demel wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Jurgensen dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Demel connects with a left uppercut.  
Demel lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Demel holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Demel pushes his forearm into Jurgensen's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Demel.  
Demel gets on the inside.  As Jurgensen tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Demel dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Demel lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Demel steps inside.  Frustration is starting to boil over for Jurgensen now.   He throws a low uppercut...that landed well below the belt! The ref halts the action and sends Demel to the neutral corner.    He tells Jurgensen to clean up his game.  The ref's patience seems to be wearing thin.  
Demel advances into close range and hits home with a stinging right hook.  
Demel digs in a sharp left uppercut to Jurgensen's body.  
Demel lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He then lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Demel drives a left uppercut into Jurgensen's body.  
Demel drives a solid left hook into his opponents liver.  
Demel lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left uppercut to the body, AND DOWN GOES JURGENSEN!  He tries to rise but his legs dont respond...the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Demel!
