Josh Poaro vs Hemi Kohikikko

Boxing Daily Report from the RJS Promotions promoted show at RJS Gym, North Shore,  taking place on 10/03/2029:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Josh Poaro (2 - 0) who hails from Manukau, New Zealand and Hemi Kohikikko(1 - 1 - 1) from Manukau, New Zealand.  Both Poaro and Kohikikko weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joey Bridgeforth, and the three ringside judges are Kyle Stine, James Oakley and Rob Horsburgh.  

Round 1: 

Poaro tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Poaro.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.

Poaro quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Kohikikko closes the distance.  Poaro lands a solid left hook.  Poaro attempts to land a left hook, but Kohikikko blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Kohikikko steps inside and forces Poaro to retreat onto the ropes.  Poaro is on target with a firm right hook.  
Poaro gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.

Kohikikko attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Poaro time to recover.
