Drud Kurr vs Leon Smyth

Boxing Daily Report from the JH Promotions promoted show at Koelnmesse, Cologne,  taking place on 07/04/2029:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are The German Giant Drud Kurr (36(30) - 0) who hails from Chemnitz, Germany and Leon Smyth(19 - 10(4) - 1) from London, UK.  Kurr weighed in at 248 pounds and 4 ounces, while Smyth weighed in at 232 pounds and 5 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Kristian Krusemark, and the three ringside judges are Hank Kuefler, Alarick Gause and Gofried Dehner.  

Round 1: 

Smyth is on target with a right hook to Kurr's body.  
Smyth sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Kurr snaps his opponents head back with a ramrod jab.  
Kurr attempts to land a cross, but Smyth slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Smyth advances into close range and connects with a left hook.  Smyth attempts to land a right hook, but Kurr slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Kurr switches the action to the outside and lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Smyth recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Kurr lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Kurr steps to the outside.  Kurr feints a left hook, and then lands a jab, overhand right and a jab to his opponents head.  
Smyth advances into close range and hits home with a right hook.  
Kurr hits home with a stinging right hook.  
Smyth throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Kurr is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.

Smyth steps inside and manages to force Kurr onto the ropes.  Smyth lands a right uppercut to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.

Smyth attempts to land a jab, but Kurr slips the shot and counters with a left hook to Smyth's body.  
Smyth gets on the inside and hits home with a right hook.  
Kurr steps away from his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Kurr lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Smyth walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Smyth pivots to the right of his opponent.  Smyth attempts to land a left hook, but Kurr parries the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Kurr drives a left hook into Smyth's body.  
Smyth connects with a sharp right hook.  
Kurr is on target with a firm left hook to his opponents body.  Kurr attempts to land a left hook, but Smyth sidesteps and counters with a right hook to Kurr's body.  
Kurr finds the target with a hard jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Smyth's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.

Smyth forces Kurr to back into the ropes.  Smyth is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  Smyth attempts to land a right hook, but Kurr blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Smyth drives a right hook into Kurr's ribs.

Kurr tries to step out of his opponents range and tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm left hook.

Smyth closes the distance.  Kurr pivots from in front of his opponent.  Smyth lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Smyth snaps his opponents head back with a stiff jab.  Smyth attempts to land a jab, but Kurr sidesteps and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Smyth gets on the inside and forces Kurr to back into the ropes.  Smyth is on target with a left uppercut.  
Kurr tries to land a right hook, but Smyth blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Smyth lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.

Smyth steps inside.  Kurr is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Kurr EXPLODES a nasty left uppercut into his opponents face.  SMYTH IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  HE IS UNABLE TO GET UP BEFORE THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Kurr!
