Gauvain Meyong vs Armani Bariagher

Boxing Daily Report from the African Fusion promoted show at Abrankese Stadium, Kumasi,  taking place on 07/04/2029:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Viasat 1, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gauvain Meyong (9(6) - 0) who hails from Garoua, Cameroon and Armani Bariagher(12 - 12(1) - 6) from Tamale, Ghana.  Meyong weighed in at 134 pounds and 10 ounces, while Bariagher weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul Kwakye, and the three ringside judges are Malcolm Habe, Bob Antwi and Haider Raad.  

Round 1: 

Bariagher quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Meyong lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the head.  Meyong holds on to his opponent.  Meyong is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Meyong about fouling.

He is on his feet as the count reaches 8.  The ref asks Bariagher to get his gloves up, but he doesnt respond.  The ref has waved the fight off...he doesnt think Bariagher can continue!  The winner by TKO is Meyong!
