Hello Tapie vs Gerald Mbengue

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Senegal-Dakar promoted show at Gage Herard Gym, Dakar,  taking place on 01/03/2029:

Clearly AI Senegal-Dakar have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Senegal Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on RTS, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Hello Tapie (3(1) - 0) who hails from Dakar, Senegal and Gerald Mbengue(6 - 4(1) - 1) from Pikine, Senegal.  Both Tapie and Mbengue weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vernon Thiaw, and the three ringside judges are Josce Vanier, Romain Ndong and Orleans Dabo.  

Round 1: 

Mbengue gets on the inside.  Tapie pivots to the left of his opponent.  Tapie lands a left uppercut, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  Tapie ties up his opponent.  Tapie is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Tapie pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.

Mbengue closes the distance and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Tapie is on target with a right hook.

Tapie steps away from his opponent and hits home with a stinging overhand left.  
Tapie feints a left, and then lands a jab.  
Mbengue steps inside.  Tapie pivots to the right of his opponent.  Tapie throws a left uppercut, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  Tapie clinches his opponent.  Mbengue leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Tapie pushes his forearm into Mbengue's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Mbengue attempts to land a jab, but Tapie blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Tapie lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Mbengue is looking to close the distance.  Tapie pivots from in front of his opponent.  Mbengue throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Tapie time to recover.  
Tapie voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Mbengue tries to tag Tapie on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
Tapie is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Tapie switches the action to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Tapie lands a solid overhand left.  
Mbengue tries to land a right hook, but Tapie blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Mbengue's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Mbengue's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Mbengue's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
