Boxing Daily Report from the Mandale Boxing Promotions promoted show at Melbourne Galt, Melbourne,  taking place on 12/04/2029:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Paul MacQuarrie (15(9) - 0) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and Patrick Deer(0 - 1 - 1) from Melbourne, Australia.  MacQuarrie weighed in at 140 pounds, while Deer weighed in at 139 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Euan Kier, and the three ringside judges are Obaid Kamali, Ian Niven and Bruce Munhall.  

Round 1: 

MacQuarrie advances into close range.  Deer throws a left hook, but MacQuarrie holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, MacQuarrie pushes his forearm into Deer's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Deer pivots from in front of his opponent.  Deer throws a left hook, but MacQuarrie clinches his opponent.  MacQuarrie is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns MacQuarrie.  
MacQuarrie sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  MacQuarrie lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  MacQuarrie clinches his opponent.  MacQuarrie leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks MacQuarrie's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
MacQuarrie digs in a right hook to Deer's body.  
MacQuarrie lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Deer throws a left hook, but MacQuarrie holds on to his opponent.  MacQuarrie is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks MacQuarrie's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Deer pivots to the right of his opponent.  Deer throws a left hook, but MacQuarrie ties up his opponent.  MacQuarrie throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Deer's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Deer's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Deer's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Deer's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

MacQuarrie lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  MacQuarrie ties up his opponent.  MacQuarrie leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The referee separates the two fighters and warns MacQuarrie to stop holding.  
MacQuarrie closes the distance.  MacQuarrie pivots from in front of his opponent and drives a firm left uppercut into Deer's body.  
MacQuarrie walks his opponent down, trapping him in the red corner.  MacQuarrie pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
MacQuarrie lands a left hook, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  MacQuarrie clinches his opponent.  MacQuarrie leans on his opponent using all his weight. MacQuarrie uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Deer's kidney. MacQuarrie tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Deer behind the head. The referee breaks up the clinch and lectures MacQuarrie to stop holding.  
MacQuarrie attempts to land a left uppercut, but Deer blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
MacQuarrie lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Deer recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
MacQuarrie lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Deer steps away from his opponent.  Some sustained pressure from MacQuarrie could be enough to finish Deer!  MacQuarrie lands a cross, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS DEER DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 7.  Deer now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
MacQuarrie closes the distance and forces Deer to back into the ropes.  MacQuarrie lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
MacQuarrie advances into close range.  MacQuarrie quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
MacQuarrie gets on the inside and connects with a right hook.  
MacQuarrie steps inside.  MacQuarrie sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
MacQuarrie lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.
