Benedict Messier vs Gareth Bertrand

Boxing Daily Report from the Mulia Promotions promoted show at Maroua Malot, Maroua,  taking place on 15/04/2029:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Cameroon-Extreme-Nord Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Benedict Messier (13 - 11) who hails from Maroua, Cameroon and Gareth Bertrand(7 - 5 - 1) from Maroua, Cameroon.  Messier weighed in at 199 pounds and 9 ounces, while Bertrand weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Verrill Tabe, and the three ringside judges are Circinus Seel, Fabron Ndumu and Pascal Mayebi.  

Round 1: 

Messier sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Messier tries to keep the action at long range.  Bertrand quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Bertrand pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.
