Vicente Laguardia vs Juan Alvillar

Boxing Daily Report from the Niguel Motto Promotion promoted show at Larenzo Abrego Gym, San Juan,  taking place on 25/04/2029:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Puerto Rico-San Juan Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Vicente Laguardia (6 - 17 - 3) who hails from San Juan, Puerto Rico and Juan Alvillar(10 - 7 - 3) from San Juan, Puerto Rico.  Laguardia weighed in at 160 pounds, while Alvillar weighed in at 159 pounds And 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Neper Hidalgo, and the three ringside judges are Desiderio Cuellar, Ignado Montalvan and Fausto Pinero.  

Round 1: 

Laguardia steps inside.  Alvillar lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Alvillar steps away from his opponent and attempts to land an overhand left, but Laguardia sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.

Alvillar pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Alvillar is looking to close the distance.  Alvillar lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  As Alvillar tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Laguardia dabs at his face checking for damage.  Laguardia has taken some damage there.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
