Rafael Merlos vs Gervasio Amaro

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Spain-Catalonia promoted show at Barcelona Gallardo, Barcelona,  taking place on 31/03/2029:

Clearly AI Spain-Catalonia have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Spain-Catalonia Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rafael Merlos (8 - 9(3) - 4) who hails from Barcelona, Spain and Gervasio Amaro(5 - 11(2) - 4) from Barcelona, Spain.  Both Merlos and Amaro weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rogelio Panza, and the three ringside judges are Gervasio Uriarte, Senon Camejo and Vicente Ras.  

Round 1: 

Merlos is looking to close the distance and throws a left uppercut, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Merlos ties up his opponent.  Amaro throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head.

Merlos is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Merlos dabs at his face checking for damage.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Amaro's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Amaro's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.
