Colin Gove vs Harry Leitch

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Celebrity Theatre, Phoenix,  taking place on 30/05/2029:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Colin Gove (25(12) - 0) who hails from Long Beach, USA and Harry Leitch(16(7) - 7(6) - 1) from Burnaby, Canada.  Gove weighed in at 134 pounds and 12 ounces, while Leitch weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Will Erwood, and the three ringside judges are David Morgan, Sid Stirton and Lloyd Findlay.  

Round 1: 

Leitch gets on the inside.  Leitch is on target with a left hook to Gove's body.  Leitch tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Leitch sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a sharp left hook.  
Gove is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Leitch closes the distance and manages to force Gove onto the ropes.  Leitch attempts to land a right hook, but Gove sidesteps and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Gove tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Gove lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Gove tries to keep the action at long range and tries to land a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Gove switches the action to the outside and lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Gove drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Leitch attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Gove to the neutral corner.  He tells Leitch he will lose a point if he continues to foul.  
Leitch is looking to close the distance and manages to force Gove onto the ropes.  Leitch pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a right hook.  
Leitch attempts to land a right hook, but Gove blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Leitch pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Gove attempts to land a left hook, but Leitch blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Leitch pivots to the side of his opponent.  Leitch attempts to land a right hook, but Gove sidesteps and counters with a firm left hook.  
Gove is looking to keep his distance and throws an overhand right, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Leitch is looking to close the distance and forces Gove to retreat onto the ropes.  Leitch sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Gove throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Gove attempts to land an overhand left, but Leitch sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Leitch advances into close range.  Gove is on target with a solid left uppercut.  Gove throws a right hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Gove quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Leitch throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Gove is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Gove SLAMS a FEROCIOUS overhand left into his opponents face.  LEITCH WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Gove senses Leitch is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Gove lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents head.  He then lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  It looks like Leitch has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Leitch closes the distance.  Leitch pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a sharp left uppercut.  
Gove tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with a mean overhand right.  IT LOOKS LIKE LEITCH WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Leitch closes the distance.  The right shot from Gove could be enough to force the stoppage!  Gove EXPLODES a big right hook into his opponents face.  DOWN GOES LEITCH!  He beats the count, getting up at 7.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Gove's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Leitch's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Gove steps to the outside and connects with a SAVAGE cross.  DOWN GOES LEITCH!  HE UNSTEADILY TRIES TO GET UP BUT IS UNABLE TO BEAT THE 10 COUNT!  The winner by KO is Gove!
