Khalid Aswad vs Waqar Latif

Boxing Daily Report from the AI UAE-Ash Shariqah promoted show at Sharjah Namome, Sharjah,  taking place on 02/04/2029:

Clearly AI UAE-Ash Shariqah have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the UAE-Ash Shariqah Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Khalid Aswad (11(1) - 1) who hails from Sharjah, UAE and Waqar Latif(12 - 9(1) - 2) from Sharjah, UAE.  Both Aswad and Latif weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Zain Warraq, and the three ringside judges are Danyaal Jarrar, Zain Warraq and Saad Hamady.  

Round 1: 

Aswad lands a sharp jab.

Latif steps inside.  Aswad throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot.  Aswad holds on to his opponent.  Aswad leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Aswad's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Latif manages to force Aswad into a neutral corner.  Aswad is on target with a left uppercut.  
Latif throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Aswad ties up his opponent.  Aswad leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Aswad steps to the outside.  Aswad feints a jab, and then lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Latif is looking to close the distance and is on target with a right hook to Aswad's ribcage.

Latif walks Aswad down, trapping him on the ropes.  Aswad knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Aswad lands a hurtful right uppercut.  LATIF HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  Latif now seems to have got his legs back.  
Aswad tries to keep the action at long range and is on target with a hard jab.

Aswad sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Latif is looking to close the distance and manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Aswad lands a right hook.  As Aswad tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Latif dabs at his face checking for damage.

Latif gets on the inside.  Aswad quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Latif quickly recovers.

Aswad is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a jab to his opponents body.  
Aswad steps to the outside.  Aswad feints a left, and then EXPLODES a big cross into his opponents face.  LATIF WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Latif closes the distance.  Aswad knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Aswad lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND DROPS LATIF!  He is still struggling to his feet as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Aswad!
