Vincent Nfumu vs Otieno Bhengu

Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Africa-Gauteng promoted show at Gold Reef Entertainment Centre, Johannesburg,  taking place on 01/05/2029:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South Africa Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Vincent Nfumu (14 - 1) who hails from Tembisa, South Africa and Otieno Bhengu(12 - 9(1) - 4) from Pretoria, South Africa.  Both Nfumu and Bhengu weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Quaddus Rascalimu, and the three ringside judges are David Pienaar, Kyrone Letsholonyane and Vince Van Deventer.  

Round 1: 

Nfumu drives a left hook into Bhengu's ribs.  
Nfumu sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to Bhengu's ribs.  
Nfumu lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Nfumu clinches his opponent.  Nfumu leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Nfumu quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Nfumu lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Nfumu clinches his opponent.  Nfumu is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Nfumu to stop fouling.  
Nfumu lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Nfumu sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Nfumu lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Nfumu holds on to his opponent.  Bhengu pushes his forearm into Nfumu's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Bhengu.  
Nfumu lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  Nfumu ties up his opponent.  Nfumu is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Nfumu digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Nfumu gets on the inside.  Nfumu sidesteps to the left of his opponent and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Bhengu attempts to land a right hook, but Nfumu sidesteps and counters with a solid right hook.  
Nfumu lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Bhengu has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor damage to the nose.  
Nfumu closes the distance and manages to force Bhengu onto the ropes.  Nfumu drives a left hook into Bhengu's body.  
Nfumu lands a cross to the head followed by a jab to the body.  
Nfumu steps inside and connects with a right hook.  
Nfumu lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Nfumu walks his opponent into a neutral corner.  Nfumu lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He then lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Nfumu clinches his opponent.  Nfumu is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Nfumu is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Nfumu pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Nfumu sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a sharp left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Nfumu cuts off the ring, trapping Bhengu on the ropes.  Nfumu quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Nfumu stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Nfumu lands a right uppercut, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body, AND SENDS BHENGU SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  It looks like Bhengu has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Nfumu pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Nfumu finds the target with a jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Bhengu's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Bhengu's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Round 2: 

Nfumu drives a stinging left hook into his opponents liver.  
Nfumu lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Nfumu lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Nfumu holds on to his opponent.  Nfumu leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Bhengu tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Nfumu behind the head. The ref breaks Nfumu's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  Bhengu wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Nfumu dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Nfumu is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Nfumu digs in a potent right hook to Bhengu's body.  BHENGU IS HURT!  Bhengu almost instantly recovers. 
Nfumu pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a right uppercut.  
Nfumu is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Nfumu lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Nfumu connects with a cross.  
Nfumu lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Nfumu pivots from in front of his opponent and drives a right hook into Bhengu's body.  
Nfumu closes the distance.  Nfumu pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Nfumu steps inside.  Nfumu sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Nfumu lands a right uppercut followed by  two left uppercuts to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Bhengu almost instantly recovers. 
Nfumu forces Bhengu to back into the ropes.  Nfumu pivots to the right of his opponent.  Nfumu lands a right hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body.  Nfumu holds on to his opponent.  Nfumu leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Nfumu whips in a spiteful right hook to Bhengu's ribcage.  BHENGU HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  
Nfumu pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Bhengu's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Nfumu pivots to the left of his opponent.  Bhengu throws a right hook, but Nfumu holds on to his opponent.  Nfumu leans on his opponent using all his weight. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Nfumu to stop holding.  
Nfumu drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Nfumu lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Nfumu is looking to keep his distance.  Bhengu could be stopped here, if Nfumu can find the right shot!  Nfumu lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body, AND DROPS BHENGU!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  
Nfumu advances into close range and forces Bhengu to retreat into a corner.  Nfumu lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND DROPS BHENGU TO THE CANVAS!  He isnt going to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Nfumu!
