David Akinmunde vs Gan Poo

Boxing Daily Report from the Rooq Promotions promoted show at Danga Bay Convention Centre, Johor Bahru,  taking place on 14/05/2029:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are David Akinmunde (17(14) - 0 - 1) who hails from Maiduguri, Nigeria and Gan Poo(4 - 4 - 3) from Tehran, Iran.  Akinmunde weighed in at 200 pounds, while Poo weighed in at 199 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Shayan Hossain, and the three ringside judges are Haaris Gaber, Farhan Younis and Saad Hassan.  

Round 1: 

Akinmunde lands with a ramrod jab.  
Akinmunde lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Akinmunde pivots to the side of his opponent.  Poo throws a left hook, but Akinmunde holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Akinmunde pushes his forearm into Poo's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Akinmunde lands a jab followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Akinmunde closes the distance and connects with a left hook.  Akinmunde ties up his opponent.  Akinmunde is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Poo throws a left hook, but Akinmunde ties up his opponent.  Akinmunde leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Akinmunde lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Akinmunde closes the distance and drives a sharp left hook into his opponents body.  Akinmunde holds on to his opponent.  Akinmunde is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Akinmunde about fouling.

Akinmunde quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a solid right uppercut.  
Akinmunde is looking to keep his distance and tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Akinmunde lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Akinmunde tries to step out of his opponents range and connects with a sharp cross.  
Akinmunde closes the distance and is on target with a sharp left uppercut.  
Akinmunde lands two left hooks followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Akinmunde lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He then lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Akinmunde walks Poo into a corner.  Akinmunde pivots to the side of his opponent and drives a left uppercut into his opponents ribs.  
Akinmunde lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
It looks like Poo has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Poo walks Akinmunde down, trapping him in the corner.  Akinmunde lands a spiteful jab.  
Akinmunde gets on the inside and is on target with a left uppercut.  
Akinmunde pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.

Akinmunde pivots to the right of his opponent and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Poo recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Akinmunde walks Poo down, trapping him on the ropes.  Akinmunde lands two right hook's to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Akinmunde clinches his opponent.  Akinmunde is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Akinmunde's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Akinmunde feints a right hook, and then lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Akinmunde lands a jab.  
Akinmunde steps inside.  Akinmunde pivots from in front of his opponent.  Akinmunde lands a left uppercut to the head, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  Akinmunde clinches his opponent.  Poo tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Akinmunde behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Poo.  
Akinmunde strikes his opponents body with a stinging jab.  
Akinmunde closes the distance and digs in a right hook to Poo's ribcage.  
Akinmunde pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Akinmunde lands a left hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Akinmunde is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Poo sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Akinmunde lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Akinmunde clinches his opponent.  Akinmunde leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Akinmunde uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Poo's kidney.

Akinmunde manouvers Poo into the corner.  Akinmunde lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  Akinmunde holds on to his opponent.  Akinmunde throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Akinmunde to stop holding.  
Akinmunde lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND DROPS POO!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Akinmunde stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Akinmunde whips in a spiteful right hook to Poo's body.  POO IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  
Akinmunde lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, KNOCKING POO DOWN!  The count reaches 10, but Poo is unable to get up!  The winner by KO is Akinmunde!
