Macario Daniel vs Santiago Melena

Boxing Daily Report from the Pearlnew Promotions promoted show at Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán, Seville,  taking place on 09/06/2029:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Canal + Deportes, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Macario El Búfalo Daniel (9(7) - 0) who hails from Barcelona, Spain and Santiago Melena(16 - 6(1) - 3) from Murcia, Spain.  Daniel weighed in at 140 pounds, while Melena weighed in at 140 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Vicente Valentino, and the three ringside judges are Rio Sainz, Eloy Cabrera and Santiago Peinado.  

Round 1: 

Daniel finds the target with a jab.  
Melena steps inside.  Daniel drives a sharp right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Melena steps inside.  Daniel lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Melena recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Daniel tries to step out of his opponents range and lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Melena attempts to land a right uppercut, but Daniel slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Daniel lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Melena almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Daniel finds the target with a spiteful jab.  
Daniel steps away from his opponent and lands a sharp jab.  
Daniel lands a straight 1 - 2, AND KNOCKS MELENA DOWN!  He manages to get up at 8.  
Daniel lands with a ramrod jab.  
Daniel lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Daniel lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Melena recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Daniel steps to the outside.  Daniel feints a jab, fooling Melena into launching a left hook counter.  Daniel is waiting for the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Melena is looking to close the distance.  Daniel sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Melena throws a left uppercut, but Daniel holds on to his opponent.  Daniel is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Melena walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Melena throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Melena closes the distance.  Daniel lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Daniel steps to the outside.  Melena tries to land a jab, but Daniel sidesteps and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Melena quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Daniel lands a jab followed by  two overhand lefts to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Melena quickly recovers. 
Daniel is on target with a solid jab.  
Melena closes the distance and manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Melena pivots to the left of his opponent.  Daniel lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Daniel is looking to keep his distance and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Melena's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.
