Santiago Carrero vs Fausto Rojo

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Colombia-Distrito Capital promoted show at Bogota Aguila, Bogota,  taking place on 15/04/2029:

Clearly AI Colombia-Distrito Capital have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Colombia-Distrito Capital Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Santiago Carrero (8 - 13 - 2) who hails from Bogota, Colombia and Fausto Rojo(10(1) - 8(1)) from Bogota, Colombia.  Both Carrero and Rojo weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Diego Melero, and the three ringside judges are Joaquin Magana, Alejandro Casados and Ponce Carreon.  

Round 1: 

Rojo lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Rojo cuts off the ring, trapping Carrero in the red corner.  Carrero throws a right hook, but Rojo holds on to his opponent.  Rojo leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Rojo pushes his forearm into Carrero's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Rojo lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Rojo senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Rojo drives a weighty left uppercut into his opponents body.  DOWN GOES CARRERO!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Carrero now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Rojo attempts to land a cross, but Carrero sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Rojo steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Carrero finds the target with a jab.  
Rojo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right uppercut.  
Rojo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Rojo is on target with a firm right hook to Carrero's body.  CARRERO IS HURT!  Rojo ties up his opponent.  Rojo leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Rojo's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Some sustained pressure from Rojo could be enough to finish Carrero!  Rojo lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body, AND KNOCKS CARRERO DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  Carrero now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Carrero steps to the outside and throws an overhand right, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Rojo closes the distance and lands a left hook.  Rojo ties up his opponent.  Rojo is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Rojo about fouling.  
Rojo gets on the inside and drives a potent left hook into his opponents body.  CARRERO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Carrero steps to the outside.  Rojo senses Carrero is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Rojo digs in a telling left uppercut to Carrero's ribs.  CARRERO IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Rojo closes the distance and walks Carrero onto the ropes.  Rojo lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body, KNOCKING CARRERO DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  It looks like Carrero has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Rojo whips in a mean right hook to Carrero's ribs.  CARRERO IS HURT!  
Rojo is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Rojo crashes a DESTRUCTIVE right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  CARRERO IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  THE REF STOPS THE FIGHT!  HE DOES NOT BELIEVE CARRERO CAN CONTINUE!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Rojo!
