Lee Connolly vs Henry Faulkner

Boxing Daily Report from the Gore Promotions promoted show at Gore Gym, Boston,  taking place on 19/05/2029:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Lee Connolly (6 - 0) who hails from Lowell, USA and Henry Faulkner(5 - 4 - 3) from Chicago, USA.  Both Connolly and Faulkner weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bart McWethy, and the three ringside judges are Hugh Hier, Oliver McCleese and Oliver McCleese.  

Round 1: 

Connolly digs in a right hook to Faulkner's body.  
Connolly quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Connolly connects with a left hook.  Connolly tries to land a left hook, but Faulkner blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Connolly pivots from in front of his opponent.  Faulkner tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Connolly cuts off the ring, trapping Faulkner in the red corner.  Connolly connects with a right hook.  Connolly clinches his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Connolly sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Connolly tries to land a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Connolly gets on the inside and is on target with a left uppercut to Faulkner's ribs.  
Connolly throws a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps.  Connolly holds on to his opponent.  Connolly leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Connolly lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Connolly lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Connolly is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Faulkner is on target with a jab.  
Connolly lands a jab followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Connolly throws a right uppercut, but the shot is blocked.  Connolly clinches his opponent.  Faulkner leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Connolly is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Connolly lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Connolly lands two left hook's to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Connolly manouvers Faulkner into a corner.  Connolly lands a right hook.  
Faulkner pivots to the left of his opponent.  Connolly is on target with a left hook.  
Connolly closes the distance and is on target with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Faulkner's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Faulkner's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Faulkner is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Connolly lands a double jab to his opponents head.  Connolly attempts to land a cross, but Faulkner sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Connolly advances into close range and is on target with a right hook.  
Connolly pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Faulkner lands a left uppercut.  
Connolly sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  
Connolly is on target with a right uppercut.  
Connolly lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Connolly is on target with a right hook.  Connolly holds on to his opponent.  Connolly leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Round 3: 

Connolly steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Connolly lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref steps in and separates the two fighters to check for damage.  Its not looking good!  The ref has ruled that the fight cannot continue due to the accidental damage.  As less than 4 rounds have been completed its going to be a no-contest!
