Leighton Newman vs Jake Cure

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Canada-Alberta promoted show at Calgary Ruxton, Calgary,  taking place on 16/05/2029:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Canada-Alberta Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Leighton Newman (13 - 5 - 1) who hails from Calgary, Canada and Jake Cure(16 - 3) from Calgary, Canada.  Both Newman and Cure weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dale Biggs, and the three ringside judges are Paul Belan, Joe Dinwiddie and Oscar Lewis.  

Round 1: 

Cure is looking to close the distance and is on target with a right hook.

Newman switches the action to the outside and tries to land an overhand left, but Cure sidesteps and counters with a solid cross.
