Jing Phi vs Liang Yau

Boxing Daily Report from the Reason promoted show at Shen Sheu Gym, Beijing,  taking place on 16/05/2029:

Clearly Reason have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the China-Beijing Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jing Phi (2 - 6 - 4) who hails from Beijing, China and Liang Yau(14 - 6 - 4) from Beijing, China.  Both Phi and Yau weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fo-hsing Tse, and the three ringside judges are Woo Kung, Xin Wan and Yuan Hsu.  

Round 1: 

Phi hits home with a left hook.  
Phi tries to step out of his opponents range and tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.

Yau gets on the inside.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Phi has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Yau pivots to the left of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Yau advances into close range.  Phi sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Phi tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Phi is looking to keep his distance and throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook to Phi's ribcage.  
Phi switches the action to the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Yau parries the shot and counters with a left hook.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Yau dabs at his face checking for damage.  Yau has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused slight damage to the nose.
