Boxing Daily Report from the RJS Promotions promoted show at Logan Campbell Centre, Auckland,  taking place on 18/05/2029:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Ian Potts (7(1) - 0) who hails from Wellington, New Zealand and Amon Gaynor(4 - 6) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  Potts weighed in at 227 pounds and 13 ounces, while Gaynor weighed in at 241 pounds and 3 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Opi Ngaikiha, and the three ringside judges are Jake Smith, Chris Heretini and James Oakley.

Potts feints a cross, tricking Gaynor into launching a right uppercut counter.  Potts springs the trap and counters with  a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Potts closes the distance and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  Potts clinches his opponent.  Potts uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Gaynor behind the head. Potts leans on his opponent using all his weight. Potts tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Gaynor's kidney. 
Potts gets on the inside and digs in a solid right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Potts gets on the inside.  Gaynor sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Potts lands two left hooks followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Gaynor recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Potts is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Gaynor attempts to land a jab, but Potts sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Potts advances into close range and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Potts drives a firm left uppercut into his opponents body.

Potts is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Potts lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents head, KNOCKING GAYNOR DOWN!  He manages to get up at 7.  
Potts gets on the inside.  Potts lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND DROPS GAYNOR!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Potts!
