Ben Onion vs Hakara Moeroa

Boxing Daily Report from the RJS Promotions promoted show at RJS Gym, North Shore,  taking place on 05/05/2029:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Ben Onion (2 - 0) who hails from Christchurch, New Zealand and Hakara Moeroa(3 - 3 - 5) from Wellington, New Zealand.  Both Onion and Moeroa weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kyle Stine, and the three ringside judges are Kenzie Anderson, Robert Haturini and Hamahona Kurawhatia.  

Round 1: 

Onion gets on the inside.  Moeroa throws a left hook, but Onion holds on to his opponent.  Onion is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Onion and breaks the clinch.  
Onion is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Onion forces Moeroa to retreat into a corner.  Onion lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Moeroa gets on the inside.  Onion lands a left hook.  
Moeroa steps inside and manages to force Onion onto the ropes.  Onion lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Onion drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Onion lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Moeroa closes the distance and throws a right uppercut, but Onion ties up his opponent.  Onion leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Onion's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Onion lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Onion quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a left hook into Moeroa's liver.  
Onion cuts off the ring, trapping Moeroa in a corner.  Onion digs in a right hook to Moeroa's body.  Onion clinches his opponent.  Onion is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Onion lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Moeroa sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Moeroa has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Moeroa advances into close range.  Onion lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Onion lands a left hook.  
Onion is on target with a left hook.  
Onion connects with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Moeroa's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Moeroa's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Moeroa throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Onion advances into close range and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Onion throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the shot.  Onion holds on to his opponent.  Onion throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Onion lands a jab.  
Onion attempts to land a cross, but Moeroa slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Onion hits home with a cross.

Moeroa lands a cross.  
Moeroa is looking to close the distance.  Onion pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Onion connects with a left uppercut.  
Onion digs in a right hook to Moeroa's ribcage.  
Onion manages to force Moeroa into the corner.  Onion lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.
