Sajid Awan vs Quarren Boakye

Boxing Daily Report from the Lamptey Promotions promoted show at Accra Sembene, Accra,  taking place on 20/05/2029:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ghana-Greater Accra Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Sajid Awan (5 - 2) who hails from Accra, Ghana and Quarren Boakye(6 - 3 - 1) from Accra, Ghana.  Both Awan and Boakye weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul Tuffuor, and the three ringside judges are Joe Kessels, Michael Amodako and Shevon Adusei.  

Round 1: 

Awan gets on the inside.  Boakye lands a left uppercut.  
Awan manages to force Boakye into a neutral corner.  Awan pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a left uppercut.

Awan wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Boakye.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.

Boakye steps away from his opponent and tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Awan forces Boakye to retreat into the corner.  Awan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a right hook.  
Awan throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Boakye time to recover.
