Dmytro Dragon vs Kolzak Ponomarenko

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Belarus-East promoted show at Gomel Kozuch, Gomel,  taking place on 24/04/2029:

Clearly AI Belarus-East have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Belarus-East Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dmytro Dragon (4(1) - 0) who hails from Mogilev, Belarus and Kolzak Ponomarenko(6 - 4) from Gomel, Belarus.  Both Dragon and Ponomarenko weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Pylyp Lipka, and the three ringside judges are Vikenti Prudnikov, Taras Stasiuk and Matviyko Galey.  

Round 1: 

Ponomarenko advances into close range.  Dragon digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  Dragon ties up his opponent.  Dragon tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Ponomarenko's kidney. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Dragon.  
Dragon lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Dragon closes the distance and throws a left uppercut, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Dragon ties up his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Dragon is on target with a stinging left uppercut to Ponomarenko's liver.  
Ponomarenko walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Ponomarenko throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Dragon hits home with a sharp left hook.  Dragon holds on to his opponent.  The ref breaks Dragon's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Dragon walks Ponomarenko down, trapping him in the red corner.  Dragon sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Dragon steps inside and throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Dragon clinches his opponent.  Dragon is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Dragon to stop fouling.  
Ponomarenko sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Dragon digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Dragon sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a right uppercut.  
Dragon gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Dragon ties up his opponent.  Dragon leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Ponomarenko steps to the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Dragon slips the shot and counters with a firm right hook.  
Dragon advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Dragon holds on to his opponent.  Dragon leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Dragon's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Dragon closes the distance and lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Dragon advances into close range and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Ponomarenko steps inside.  Dragon lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Dragon pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a solid left hook to his opponents body.  
Dragon drives a left hook into Ponomarenko's body.  
Dragon walks Ponomarenko into the corner.  Dragon pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a sharp left hook.  
Dragon is looking to close the distance and connects with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ponomarenko's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Ponomarenko's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Dragon is on target with a sharp right hook to his opponents body.  
Dragon attempts to land a jab, but Ponomarenko blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Dragon's body.  
Dragon is looking to close the distance.  Dragon sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Dragon attempts to land a right hook, but Ponomarenko blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Dragon quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Dragon lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Dragon closes the distance.  Dragon pivots to the right of his opponent.  Dragon wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Ponomarenko has taken some damage there.  That has caused damage to the nose.  
Dragon lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Dragon lands a stinging left hook.  
Dragon lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Ponomarenko almost instantly recovers. 
Dragon is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook.  
Dragon lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Dragon is looking to close the distance and walks his opponent into a corner.  Dragon connects with a spiteful left hook.  PONOMARENKO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Ponomarenko recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Dragon walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Dragon pivots from in front of his opponent.  Ponomarenko throws a left hook, but Dragon holds on to his opponent.  Dragon throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Dragon.

Dragon closes the distance and digs in a stinging right hook to his opponents ribcage.  Dragon ties up his opponent.  Dragon leans on his opponent using all his weight. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Dragon to stop holding.

It looks like Ponomarenko has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Dragon lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS PONOMARENKO DOWN!  He is unable to get up before the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Dragon!
