Lorenzo Atilano vs Alfonso Lepe

Boxing Daily Report from the Costa Rican Boxing promoted show at San Jose Redondo, San Jose,  taking place on 03/06/2029:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Lorenzo Atilano (1 - 1) who hails from San Jose, Costa Rica and Alfonso Lepe(11 - 2 - 1) from Managua, Nicaragua.  Both Atilano and Lepe weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Juan Mora, and the three ringside judges are Loredo Mesquita, Ivan Rada and Xabat Velez.  

Round 1: 

Atilano advances into close range and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Atilano finds the target with a jab.  
Atilano hits home with a solid left hook.  Atilano tries to land a jab, but Lepe slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Atilano steps inside and lands a right hook.  Atilano ties up his opponent.  Atilano is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Atilano lands a stinging cross.  
Atilano lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Atilano closes the distance.  Atilano quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Atilano attempts to land a left uppercut, but Lepe blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Lepe lands a cross.  
Atilano attempts to land a cross, but Lepe dodges the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Atilano is on target with a left hook to Lepe's body.  
Atilano lands a right hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Atilano pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Atilano lands two right hooks followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Atilano is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  Atilano clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Atilano pushes his forearm into Lepe's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Atilano about fouling.  
Atilano lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Atilano lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Atilano throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Atilano holds on to his opponent.  Atilano leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Atilano is on target with a sharp right hook.  As Lepe tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Atilano dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Atilano closes the distance.  Lepe pivots to the side of his opponent.  Atilano is on target with a right hook to Lepe's ribcage.  
Atilano is on target with a left hook to Lepe's ribs.  
Atilano steps inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Atilano slams a nasty left hook into Lepe's body.  LEPE WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Atilano senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Lepe and just needs the right shot.  Atilano lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, DROPPING LEPE TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Lepe now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Atilano walks his opponent into a neutral corner.  Atilano lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Atilano lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Lepe sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Atilano lands a right uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head.  
Lepe steps away from his opponent.  Atilano is on target with a solid cross.  
Atilano closes the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He then lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Lepe's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Lepe's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Lepe's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Atilano is looking to close the distance.  Lepe pivots to the side of his opponent.  Atilano is on target with a sharp left uppercut to Lepe's body.  
Atilano lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Lepe almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Atilano steps inside and lands a left uppercut.  
Atilano lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Atilano quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a solid left hook.  
Atilano steps inside and forces Lepe to retreat into the corner.  Atilano SLAMS a big left uppercut into his opponents face.  LEPE IS HURT!  Lepe recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Lepe tries to keep the action at long range.  Atilano lands a jab.  
Atilano lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Atilano manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Atilano lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Atilano quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Lepe throws a left uppercut, but Atilano clinches his opponent.  Atilano leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Atilano tries to land a right hook, but Lepe dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Atilano advances into close range and lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the head.  Atilano ties up his opponent.  Atilano leans on his opponent using all his weight. Atilano tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Lepe behind the head. The referee warns Atilano and breaks the clinch.  
Atilano lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body, AND DROPS LEPE!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  
Atilano stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Atilano lands a cross followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES LEPE!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Atilano!
