Charlie Mawere vs Tefu Zokwana

Boxing Daily Report from the African Fusion promoted show at Ellis Park Arena, Johannesburg,  taking place on 23/06/2029:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Charlie Mawere (4(1) - 0) who hails from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and Tefu Zokwana(15 - 12 - 5) from Pretoria, South Africa.  Both Mawere and Zokwana weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Peter Mbalula, and the three ringside judges are Luvolwethu Motupa, Quaddus Rascalimu and Charel Cilliers.  

Round 1: 

Mawere steps inside and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.

Mawere drives a stinging left uppercut into Zokwana's liver.  
Zokwana quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Zokwana tries to land a jab, but Mawere slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Zokwana pivots from in front of his opponent.  Mawere finds the target with a jab.  
Zokwana gets on the inside.  Zokwana sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Mawere lands a right hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Mawere strikes his opponents body with a jab.

Zokwana attempts to land a jab, but Mawere dodges the shot and counters with a WICKED right uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE ZOKWANA WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!
