Sancho Villalon vs Sagaz Nicolas

Boxing Daily Report from the Costa Rican Boxing promoted show at Costa Gym, San Jose,  taking place on 27/05/2029:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Sancho Villalon (1(1) - 1) who hails from San Jose, Costa Rica and Sagaz Nicolas(2 - 5 - 4) from Apopa, El Salvador.  Villalon weighed in at 112 pounds, while Nicolas weighed in at 111 pounds And 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Reynaldo Lujano, and the three ringside judges are Oro Serbin, Kiki Briones and Angel Fontanilla.  

Round 1: 

Villalon closes the distance and is on target with a sharp left uppercut to Nicolas's body.

Villalon lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He then lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Villalon lands a left uppercut followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He then lands a cross to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Villalon closes the distance.  Villalon lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Villalon clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Villalon pushes his forearm into Nicolas's face.  The ref breaks Villalon's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Villalon dabs at his face checking for damage.  Villalon has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused a minor cut  the right eye.  .

Villalon throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. Villalon leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Villalon pushes his forearm into Nicolas's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Villalon to stop fouling.  Villalon attempts to land a left hook, but Nicolas slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Villalon is looking to close the distance and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Villalon throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.
