Darragh MacKay vs Alan MacDermott

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ireland-Leinster promoted show at Leinster Hall, Dundalk,  taking place on 15/06/2029:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Celtic Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Darragh MacKay (15(7) - 0) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Alan MacDermott(12 - 4) from Edinburgh, UK.  Both MacKay and MacDermott weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Karl Finnegan, and the three ringside judges are Carl MacRae, Joshua McColl and Sam Mulryan.  

Round 1: 

MacDermott tries to land a right hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut to his opponents body.  
MacKay is looking to keep the action on the outside and drives a spiteful jab into his opponents face.  
MacKay lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  MacKay tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
MacKay tries to keep the action at long range and lands with a hard jab.  
MacDermott advances into close range.  MacKay pivots to the side of his opponent and drives a sharp left hook into MacDermott's ribs.  
MacDermott walks his opponent onto the ropes.  MacDermott quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  MacDermott connects with a left uppercut.  MacKay holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, MacDermott pushes his forearm into MacKay's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
MacKay is on target with a right hook to MacDermott's body.  
MacKay steps to the outside and lands a cross to his opponents body.  
MacDermott is looking to close the distance.  MacKay pivots to the right of his opponent.  MacDermott tries to land a left hook, but MacKay slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
MacDermott forces MacKay to retreat into the red corner.  MacDermott sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  MacKay drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
MacKay lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
MacDermott is looking to close the distance.  MacDermott pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
MacKay pivots to the side of his opponent.  MacKay throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps.  MacKay clinches his opponent.  MacKay leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
MacKay throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot.  MacKay ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, MacKay pushes his forearm into MacDermott's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures MacKay about fouling.  
MacKay switches the action to the outside and attempts to land a jab, but MacDermott slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
MacDermott closes the distance.  MacKay is on target with a solid left hook.  
MacDermott closes the distance and tries to land a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a weighty right hook to MacDermott's body.  MACDERMOTT WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!

MacDermott pivots from in front of his opponent.  MacDermott throws a right uppercut, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
MacKay tries to step out of his opponents range and strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
MacKay lands an overhand left followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
MacKay hits home with a cross.  
MacDermott advances into close range.  MacKay pivots to the right of his opponent.  MacDermott attempts to land a left hook, but MacKay blocks the shot and counters with a spiteful cross.  MACDERMOTT WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  MacDermott recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
MacKay tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
MacKay switches the action to the outside and lands a cross.  
MacKay feints a left hook, and then connects with a firm overhand right.  
MacKay lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
MacDermott closes the distance.  MacKay sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a sharp left hook to his opponents liver.  
MacKay steps to the outside and hits home with a ramrod jab.  
MacKay lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  MacDermott is on target with a cross.  
MacDermott closes the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm left hook.  
MacKay lands a straight 1 - 2.  
MacKay connects with an overhand right.  
MacKay lands a jab to the body followed by a overhand left to the head.  
MacKay pivots from in front of his opponent.  MacKay tries to land a left hook, but MacDermott sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
MacKay lands a straight 1 - 2, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
MacKay senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop MacDermott and just needs the right shot.  MacKay lands a cross followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES MACDERMOTT!  He manages to get up at 6.  MacDermott now seems to have his senses back.  
MacDermott advances into close range.  MacKay is on target with a hurtful right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE MACDERMOTT WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  MacDermott almost instantly gets his legs back. 
MacDermott manages to force MacKay onto the ropes.  MacKay attempts to land a left hook, but MacDermott parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
MacKay tries to keep the action at long range.  MacKay stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  MacDermott throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
MacDermott advances into close range and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
MacKay digs in a stinging left hook to MacDermott's body.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...MacDermott's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  MacDermott's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

MacKay hits home with a powerful overhand right.  IT LOOKS LIKE MACDERMOTT WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!
