Labaron Bault vs Telford Mermoz

Boxing Daily Report from the Dakessian Promotions promoted show at Villeurbanne de Honnecourt, Villeurbanne,  taking place on 18/06/2029:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the France-Rhone-Alpes Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Labaron Bault (8 - 11 - 2) who hails from Lyon, France and Telford Mermoz(7 - 0) from Saint-Etienne, France.  Both Bault and Mermoz weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Varocher Bault, and the three ringside judges are Alexandre Courtellemont, Newell Laude and Raul de Marivaux.  

Round 1: 

Bault steps inside.  Mermoz sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Mermoz lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Mermoz holds on to his opponent.  Mermoz leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Mermoz pushes his forearm into Bault's face.  The ref breaks Mermoz's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Mermoz lands a left uppercut followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Bault is looking to keep his distance and tries to land a jab, but Mermoz dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Bault's body.  
Mermoz is looking to close the distance and is on target with a solid left hook to Bault's body.  Mermoz holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Mermoz pushes his forearm into Bault's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Mermoz pivots to the side of his opponent.  Bault throws a left hook, but Mermoz ties up his opponent.  Mermoz pushes his forearm into Bault's face.  The ref breaks Mermoz's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
