Cody Aplaon vs Carlos Mauhay

Boxing Daily Report from the JSW promoted show at Rizal Memoria Coliseum, Manila,  taking place on 16/07/2029:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Philippines Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Cody Aplaon (13(6) - 0 - 1) who hails from General Trias, Philippines and Carlos Mauhay(12 - 5 - 5) from Bacoor, Philippines.  Both Aplaon and Mauhay weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Floyd Sanches, and the three ringside judges are Rodrigo Bejar, Eloy Marucut and Frisco Moll.  

Round 1: 

Aplaon closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  Aplaon holds on to his opponent.  Aplaon is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
