Juan Borbon vs Santiago Montellano

Boxing Daily Report from the Nawanoma Promotions promoted show at Quito Nogales, Quito,  taking place on 15/07/2029:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ecuador Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Juan Borbon (21(19) - 0) who hails from Manta, Ecuador and Santiago Montellano(18 - 0) from Quito, Ecuador.  Both Borbon and Montellano weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Neper Cifuentes, and the three ringside judges are Enzo Roque, Ora Urrea and Rafael Madray.  

Round 1: 

Borbon lands a FEROCIOUS cross.  MONTELLANO IS HURT!  Montellano quickly recovers. 
Borbon is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Borbon tries to step out of his opponents range and lands an overhand right, overhand left and a cross to his opponents head.  
Borbon attempts to land a jab, but Montellano slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Borbon switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand right followed by  two straights to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Montellano almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Borbon quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a solid cross.  
Montellano throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Montellano pivots from in front of his opponent.  Montellano lands a jab to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  Montellano attempts to land a jab, but Borbon sidesteps and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Borbon switches the action to the outside.  Montellano tries to land a cross, but Borbon blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Montellano attempts to land a cross, but Borbon slips the shot and counters with a firm right hook.  
Borbon lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Borbon is looking to keep his distance and strikes his opponents body with a solid cross.  
Borbon lands a cross.  Borbon attempts to land a cross, but Montellano slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Montellano walks Borbon down, trapping him on the ropes.  Borbon drives a sharp right hook into Montellano's body.  
Montellano snaps his opponents head back with a sharp jab.

Borbon lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Borbon lands a solid overhand right.  
Borbon SLAMS a CRUSHING cross into his opponents face.  IT LOOKS LIKE MONTELLANO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Montellano almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Borbon lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND DROPS MONTELLANO!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  Montellano quickly recovers. 
Montellano walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Montellano feints a left hook, but Borbon does not fall for it and lands with a right uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Borbon's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Montellano's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Montellano's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Borbon throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Montellano to the neutral corner.  He has a stern word with Borbon and threatens a point deduction if continues to foul.  
Borbon steps to the outside.  Montellano attempts to land a cross, but Borbon slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Borbon closes the distance.  Borbon is on target with a right hook to Montellano's body.  As Borbon tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Montellano dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Montellano throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a nasty right hook.  MONTELLANO IS HURT!  
Montellano now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Borbon steps away from his opponent and hits home with a firm cross.  
Borbon lands a spiteful jab.  
Montellano walks Borbon down, trapping him on the ropes.  Borbon digs in a sharp right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Borbon steps away from his opponent and connects with a VICIOUS cross.  MONTELLANO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Borbon senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Montellano and just needs the right shot.  Borbon lands a left uppercut, cross and a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND SENDS MONTELLANO SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is unable to get up before the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Borbon!
