Keiichi Muto vs Takeshi Kikuchi

Boxing Daily Report from the Hidaka promoted show at Mikio Hirai Gym, Kyoto,  taking place on 02/07/2029:

Clearly Hidaka have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Kyoto Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Keiichi Muto (3 - 10(1) - 4) who hails from Kyoto, Japan and Takeshi Kikuchi(8 - 12 - 3) from Kyoto, Japan.  Muto weighed in at 200 pounds, while Kikuchi weighed in at 199 pounds And 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Aki Masaki, and the three ringside judges are Naoki Kawasaki, Nao Mori and Takeshi Shimizu.  

Round 1: 

Kikuchi is looking to close the distance and walks Muto onto the ropes.  Kikuchi tries to land a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Muto tries to step out of his opponents range.  Kikuchi lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
Muto connects with an overhand right.

Muto is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Kikuchi lands a right hook.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Kikuchi.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Kikuchi sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Kikuchi gets on the inside and forces Muto to retreat into the red corner.  Muto attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Kikuchi time to recover.
