Jordan Asuncion vs Robert Plata

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Civic Auditorium, San Jose,  taking place on 24/08/2029:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the USA-California Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jordan Asuncion (25(9) - 0 - 1) who hails from Long Beach, USA and Robert Plata(23 - 7) from Sacremento, USA.  Both Asuncion and Plata weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Vaughn, and the three ringside judges are James Keay, Bruce Carra and Paul Herring.  

Round 1: 

Asuncion is looking to close the distance.  Asuncion pivots to the side of his opponent.  Asuncion lands a left hook.  Asuncion clinches his opponent.  Plata is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Plata.  
Asuncion attempts to land a left uppercut, but Plata blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Plata throws a left hook, but Asuncion clinches his opponent.  Asuncion leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Asuncion's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Plata quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Asuncion finds the target with a stiff jab.  
Asuncion steps inside and drives a sharp left hook into his opponents liver.  Asuncion holds on to his opponent.  Asuncion is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Asuncion connects with a right hook.  
Asuncion lands a hard jab.  
Plata tries to land a jab, but Asuncion blocks the shot and counters with a solid right hook.  
Asuncion hits home with a cross.  Asuncion throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Asuncion gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Asuncion digs in a right hook to Plata's body.  
Asuncion lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He then lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  As Plata tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Asuncion dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Asuncion forces Plata to back into the ropes.  Asuncion is on target with a right hook.  
Asuncion pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to Plata's ribcage.  
Asuncion throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps.  Asuncion clinches his opponent.  Plata tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Asuncion behind the head. As they grapple, Asuncion pushes his forearm into Plata's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Asuncion lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Asuncion lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Plata is looking to keep his distance and hits the target with a stiff jab.  
Asuncion lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.

Asuncion throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Asuncion ties up his opponent.  Asuncion is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Asuncion's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Asuncion manouvers Plata into the red corner.  Asuncion lands a left uppercut to the body followed by two right hook's to the head.  
Asuncion lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Asuncion lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Plata digs in a left hook to Asuncion's body.
