Vegas Matas vs Beltran Gomez

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Mexico-Nuevo Leon promoted show at Edmundo Aja Gym, Monterrey,  taking place on 23/07/2029:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Mexico-Nuevo Leon Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Vegas Matas (17(6) - 7(2) - 1) who hails from Guadalupe, Mexico and Beltran Gomez(13 - 14 - 4) from San Nicolas de los Garza, Mexico.  Both Matas and Gomez weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Onofre Medero, and the three ringside judges are Ryo Capellan, Neper Carabello and Juan Velasquez.  

Round 1: 

Matas lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Matas is looking to close the distance.  Gomez throws a right uppercut, but Matas clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Matas pushes his forearm into Gomez's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Matas lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Matas holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Matas pushes his forearm into Gomez's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Matas.  
Gomez switches the action to the outside.  Matas connects with a cross.  
Matas hits home with a stinging right hook.  Matas holds on to his opponent.  Matas is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Matas lands a jab.  
Matas gets on the inside.  Gomez throws a right hook, but Matas holds on to his opponent.  Matas uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Gomez behind the head. The ref breaks Matas's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Matas drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Matas lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  
Matas manages to force Gomez onto the ropes.  Matas lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Matas drives a stinging right uppercut into Gomez's ribcage.  
Matas quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a firm right uppercut into Gomez's body.  IT LOOKS LIKE GOMEZ WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Matas is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Matas lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body, AND GOMEZ IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  
Matas lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND GOMEZ IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Gomez now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Matas lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Matas steps inside and walks Gomez into a corner.  Gomez throws a right hook, but Matas holds on to his opponent.  Matas is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Matas about fouling.  
Matas is on target with a right hook to Gomez's body.  
Matas gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Matas is on target with a right uppercut to Gomez's body.  
Matas hits home with a stinging left hook.  
Matas advances into close range and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Matas lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Gomez attempts to land a right hook, but Matas sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Gomez's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Gomez's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Gomez's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Matas closes the distance and digs in a solid right hook to Gomez's body.  
Matas advances into close range and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Matas lands a jab, left hook and a jab to his opponents head.  
Matas lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Matas closes the distance and drives a firm left hook into Gomez's liver.  
Matas lands a cross to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Matas lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Matas lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!
