Gareth Briar vs Oliver Sloan

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Ridder Arena, Minneapolis,  taking place on 06/10/2029:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gareth Briar (12 - 1) who hails from Minneapolis, USA and Oliver Sloan(11 - 5) from Oklahoma City, USA.  Both Briar and Sloan weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Brad Dey, and the three ringside judges are Brad Dey, Zachary Mattus and Harry Streblow.  

Round 1: 

Sloan lands a right hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Briar steps inside and lands a left hook.  
Briar tries to keep the action at long range and attempts to land a jab, but Sloan slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Briar throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Sloan is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Briar lands with a stinging jab.  
Sloan sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands with a sharp jab.  
Briar tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Sloan pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a solid cross.  
Briar is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.
