Robert Cherigat vs Kieran Mitei

Boxing Daily Report from the Marco Boogers promoted show at Bamenda Olympic Stadium, Bamenda,  taking place on 27/08/2029:

Clearly Marco Boogers have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Canal 2 Cameroon, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Robert Cherigat (10(6) - 0) who hails from Kikuyu, Kenya and Kieran Mitei(11 - 7 - 3) from Kisumu, Kenya.  Cherigat weighed in at 139 pounds and 15 ounces, while Mitei weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dominique Endeley, and the three ringside judges are Didier Maffo, Giles Baga and Jeremie Galliard.  

Round 1: 

Cherigat drives a firm left uppercut into Mitei's body.  
Mitei steps away from his opponent.  Mitei quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Cherigat lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Cherigat steps inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Cherigat clinches his opponent.  Cherigat leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Cherigat's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Cherigat is on target with a firm left hook to Mitei's liver.  Cherigat ties up his opponent.  Cherigat hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Cherigat lands a right hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Cherigat advances into close range and hits home with a stinging right hook.  Cherigat holds on to his opponent.  Cherigat is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Cherigat about fouling.  
Mitei is on target with a cross.  
Cherigat sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Cherigat attempts to land a jab, but Mitei slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Mitei is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Cherigat lands a jab.  
Cherigat sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Cherigat attempts to land a jab, but Mitei sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Cherigat closes the distance and lands a left hook.  Cherigat ties up his opponent.  Cherigat is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Cherigat's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Cherigat is looking to close the distance and is on target with a firm right hook.  
Cherigat pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Cherigat lands a left uppercut followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  Mitei now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Mitei's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Cherigat is looking to close the distance.  Cherigat pivots to the side of his opponent.  Cherigat lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Cherigat ties up his opponent.  Cherigat uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Mitei's kidney. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Cherigat.  Mitei almost instantly recovers.

Mitei throws a left hook, but Cherigat holds on to his opponent.  Cherigat throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Mitei feints a left hook, and then attempts to land a jab, but Cherigat blocks the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Cherigat steps inside.  Cherigat pivots to the right of his opponent and digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Mitei sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Cherigat lands a left uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head.  
Cherigat lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Cherigat is looking to close the distance and is on target with a stinging left uppercut.  
Cherigat closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the head.  
Cherigat lands a jab to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Cherigat closes the distance and hits home with a right uppercut.  
Cherigat hits home with a firm left uppercut.  
Mitei is on target with a cross.

Cherigat lands a left uppercut to the body followed by two right hook's to the head.  Cherigat clinches his opponent.  Cherigat uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Mitei behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Cherigat to stop holding.  
Cherigat sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Cherigat walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Cherigat is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Cherigat lands a cross followed by a right hook to his opponents head, DROPPING MITEI TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 8.  Mitei now seems to have his senses back.

Cherigat connects with a WICKED left hook.  MITEI IS HURT!  Mitei quickly recovers. 
Cherigat is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Mitei recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Cherigat gets on the inside.  Cherigat sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Mitei quickly recovers. 
Cherigat lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He then lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body, AND DROPS MITEI TO THE CANVAS!  He isnt going to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Cherigat!
